Where it comes from.

Martexin waxed canvas, Fairfield Textile, New Jersey
Est. 1838 Fairfield, New Jersey

Martexin Waxed Canvas

The shell is 10.5oz cotton canvas, waxed at Fairfield Textile — one of the last American mills still producing waxed cloth domestically. The wax is worked into the weave, not coated on top. It ages differently with every wearer. Scratches buff out. Rain beads off. The color deepens over decades.

Horween Chromexcel leather, Chicago, est. 1905
Est. 1905 Chicago, Illinois

Horween Chromexcel Leather

The collar facing and pocket reinforcements are cut from Horween Chromexcel — the tannery's signature pull-up leather, tanned in Chicago using a century-old process. It starts firm and softens with wear. The natural oils in the hide mean it never needs conditioning. It tells time better than a watch.

American-made United States

American Horn Buttons

Each button is cut and tumbled from natural American horn — no two are identical in pattern. Horn buttons have been used in quality American workwear since the 1880s. They do not crack like shell, do not melt like plastic. They are attached with a four-hole lockstitch and can be replaced individually if ever needed.

TEG cut and sew facility, Los Angeles

TEG
Los Angeles

The jacket is cut and sewn at TEG in Los Angeles — a cut-and-sew shop with a long record on small-run American production. This run is 50 pieces. That is a short run by any standard, and TEG agreed to take it because the materials are worth sewing carefully.

Every cutter and operator who touches the jacket is on-site in LA. No subcontracting, no offshore finishing. The lead time on this run is 10–12 weeks from reservation close.

What ships with it.

The jacket arrives in a packaging system designed to match the object inside it.

Matte Black Rigid Box

Magnetic-lid rigid box, matte black exterior, uncoated natural interior. Reusable for storage.

Wax Seal

The box is sealed with a Quillon wax stamp. Break it once. The seal closes the edition run.

Story Card

A folded letterpress card with the supply chain: mill names, locations, founding years, and the jacket's edition number.

Collection Booklet

Sixteen-page saddle-stitched booklet. The full Quillon story, the mill portraits, the philosophy behind the numbered edition system.

GOTS Muslin Garment Bag

Organic cotton muslin dust bag, GOTS-certified. For long-term storage between seasons.

FSC Kraft Shipping Carton

FSC-certified kraft outer carton. No plastic cushioning, no excess fill. The rigid box protects the jacket; the carton protects the box.

Each piece
is registered.

Every jacket ships with a wax-sealed certificate of provenance — a museum accession-style record of the object's complete origin chain: the mill, the tannery, the cut shop, the edition number, and the date it was made. Not a hang tag. Not a card insert. A document.

The certificate includes a field for the owner's name, filled in by hand before shipping. It is the only paperwork that will outlast the jacket.
